Generally, this position is responsible for maintaining payroll information and updating records with changes in employee details or benefits that may occur over time.
This position requires sharp attention to details, analytical skills, and the ability to process data quickly.
They also need strong financial understanding and excellent verbal communication abilities to manage employees' paychecks accurately.
They must work a time-sensitive environment while maintaining strict confidence and respect for the privacy of employee records.
This person must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, Sage, and job costing.
This position reports directly to the Office Manager and is a full-time nonexempt position.
Responsibilities:
Create and enter per diem invoices Enter and run checks to pay child supports, garnishments, and per diems File and mail certified payrolls as needed Track vacation time, AGC carpentry hours, and EOE Respond to payroll inquiries Set up new employees in Sage and HH2 Monitor to make sure all HH2 time sheets are submitted, then export into Sage System Edit payroll to make sure time, workers comp, taxes, deductions and fringe are correct Sort the payroll packets:
time sheets, packing slips, etc.
Balancing the Payroll accounts at month end Other duties as assigned Job Type:
