The farm has two locations; Blountville, Tennessee and Bland, Virginia.
This position is based in Blountville.
The successful candidate must have strong communication and organization skills, demonstrate professionalism, be of good moral character, have strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and work well both independently and with others.
The successful candidate will assist in farm operations and herd management.
This is a full- time position requiring frequent weekend hours.

Employees are expected to uphold the vision, mission and values of Point Pleasant Angus.
Responsibilities:
? Daily feeding ? Observe and tend to herd health including vaccinations and identifying and treating sick animals ? Assist with record keeping including herd health, performance, registrations, and sale records ? Assist with breeding program including A.

and management of herd sires ? Manage fall and spring calving seasons, tag and weigh calves, assist with calving, maintain accurate breeding and calving records ? Pasture maintenance including water sources, feeding areas, fencing, mowing, spraying, etc.
? Maintain equipment and perform routine structural repairs to farm buildings ? Maintain stalls, barn halls, feeding areas and holding pens ? Assist with hay crop including fertilizing, cutting, and bailing ? Assist with farm events including production sales and the preparation of cattle and property ? Complete other tasks as instructed Candidates are not expected to have experience in all the above responsibilities but must have experience with beef cattle and a willingness and eagerness to learn.
Pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
