Up to $97,333, dependent on education and experienceJob SummaryReporting to the VP for Academic Affairs, the Dean of Humanities provides overall leadership, management, and supervision of all aspects of the division.
They provide immediate supervision and leadership for faculty, adjunct faculty, and staff.
They collaborate with Human Resources and Multi-Campus Programs to hire both full-time and adjunct faculty.
They staff classes with qualified faculty; support creative solutions for facility usage and workforce development needs; support the college's strategic goals; and provide training appropriate to courses taught.
Job Dutieso Provide overall leadership, management, and supervision of all aspects of their discipline-specific academic division.
o Provide immediate supervision and leadership for faculty, adjunct faculty, and staff.
o Collaborate with Human Resources and Multi-Campus Programs to hire both full-time and adjunct faculty; staff all classes with qualified faculty; support the college's strategic goals; and provide training appropriate to courses taught.
o Develop strategic and technology plans for the campus.
o Develop and recommend an annual budget for campus operations.
o Monitor assigned budgets and accounts for expenditures.
o Prepare class schedules for the division each semester; monitor enrollment and make appropriate adjustments.
o Assist Multi-Campus Programs in developing class schedules at off-campus teaching sites.
o Maintain records germane to the operation of the academic division.
o Act as the primary liaison between the faculty and senior administration.
o Assist in recruitment, advisement, and registration activities as appropriate.
o Initiate and complete annual employee performance reviews and maintain related records.
o Assist in institutional and division-specific accreditation processes.
o Provide assistance and direction in curriculum development for the division.
o Perform academic planning and periodic analysis of existing divisional courses/programs.
o Assist in implementing Tennessee Board of Regents and institutional policies for the division.
o Work with academic administrators in planning faculty and staff development programs.
o Ensure that all divisional programs are congruent with and viable for business and industry needs within the College's service area.
o Develop and/or continue to maintain advisory committees as appropriate.
o Assist in the preparation of proposals and implementation of grant projects (federal, state, and private).
o In all duties assigned, show a commitment to customer service to include students, college employees, and the community-at-large.
o Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.
Minimum Qualificationso Master's degree from an accredited institution in a division-specific discipline o Five (5) years of full-time faculty experience Preferred Qualificationso Professional experience at a comprehensive community collegeo Conversational ability or fluency in a second languageKnowledge, Skills, and Abilitieso Technology Skills:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
